Easy Recipe for Slime
Recently, videos of teens making their own slime at home have filled the For You Pages of social media. This slime, in particular, takes only three ingredients – glue, baking soda, and contact solution – making it a great in-class or after-school activity. Find out how your students can make their own simple, trendy three-step slime below.
A lot of TikTok videos make slime on the floor, but it is recommended to mix the ingredients in a bowl to avoid staining and damage.
- First, pour two bottles of liquid glue into a medium-sized bowl. If you choose to add food coloring to give the slime some color, it is best to add it now.
- After the glue is poured in, add half a teaspoon of baking soda. After you add the baking soda, mix it with the glue until smooth.
- Next, add two tablespoons of contact lens solution. Continue to mix the three ingredients together until the mixture hardens and forms a ball.
- Lastly, take out the ball of slime and knead it yourself! Keep on kneading it until it’s no longer as sticky and is easier to play with.
