How To Ask Your Administration for Datebooks
Tired of hearing the excuse, “My dog ate my homework?” Asking your administration to provide student datebooks is the perfect way to help your student(s) remember important holidays, collaborate with others, and turn their work in on time. Tell them, “My students would benefit from planners because …”
They would have a better school-life balance when using calendars to remember holidays and events.
At the beginning of each of our planners, there is a calendar for each month of the school year. We understand that a student’s life can be busy, so we make sure to label every big event and holiday. You can also incorporate the school’s specific events on the calendar so your students never miss an opportunity to showcase their school spirit!
They would be able to collaborate with their peers more efficiently.
With the calendars being a central part of our datebooks, students are encouraged to write down their after-school activities to keep track of their busy schedules. When students are paired together for group projects, using these calendars helps them coordinate times much more smoothly. Group projects can already be complicated as is, and there is no need to complicate things further with tentative scheduling!
They would have an easier time staying organized.
It is no secret that planners are the perfect way for students to make sure that all their assignments are complete. Some schools have a late policy, and this is the perfect way to help them navigate around that. A study conducted by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) even suggests that time management and academic performance are related.
